Barrel
Like our disc
finishing machines, the HZ-Series centrifugal barrel machines
utilise centrifugal force to perform the process of surface
finishing. Parts, media, compound and water are loaded
into hexagonal barrels, which are then secured to the machine's
turret. The turret, along with each barrel is rotated
at high speed causing the parts and media to slide against each
other under the influence of the high centrifugal forces generated.
This results in an extremely rapid deburring/polishing action.
Typical process times are 20 to 30 times shorter than traditional
rotary tumbling barrels.
