Principle of
Operation:
Parts are continuously fed into the tub machine at one end where they vibrate along the
length of the tub with the media in a linear-rotary action. Upon reaching the lower
end of the machine, the workmass comprising the processed parts and media is discharged
from the machine onto a horizontal, vibrating sieve separator. The separator screen is
sized such that the media is allowed to pass through the apertures while the processed
parts are retained on the upper level for rinsing/washing before exiting the
separator. The sieved media is fed onto an inclined conveyor for return to the upper
end of the tub. In many systems, the processed and separated parts exit the
separator directly into a continuous style cob or hot air drier.
Additional features of AV-Series tubs include continuous
undersize media classification at the separator stage, and
the elimination of part on part contact (Parts are continuously
fed in at uniform intervals. This gap is maintained
as the parts pass through the machine.)
