Products ceramic medias are composed of high quality
abrasives bonded at high temperatures into a ceramic
formulation.
This
gives rise to high dimensional stability together
with low attrition rates.
Ceramic
media is excellent for surface finishing on a wide
range of parts but its hard, dense nature mean it
is best suited to harder materials where peening
and surface impingement is not a problem.
B.V.
Products range of ceramic medias include fast cutting, coarse
grades to high-density, porcelain grades for extra fine polishing
and burnishing.
Typical
uses of ceramic media include finishing on steel, titanium,
and stainless steel. The porcelain grade media is excellent
as a last stage process for highly polished and burnished
finishes eg. preplate finishing on brass.
