Available
in aluminium oxide and silica (quartz) grades, nuggets are random
shaped media that can be used for burnishing and grinding finishing
operations where exact media size and shape is not critical.
Fused aluminium oxide, a by-product of Bauxite refining, is
extremely dense with blocky, rather random features. It
is almost 100% abrasive giving extremely high cutting rates. |

Product's can supply two grades of aluminium oxide nuggets.
XA grade, is dense, tough, and free cutting. It exhibits
extremely rapid cutting rates yet is extremely long wearing
and impact resistant over a wide range of applications.
XM grade is excellent for producing a lustre and fine finish
with superior colouring. It is hard, dense and extremely
durable making it perfect for burnishing applications in addition
to light burr removal and radius formation. It can also
be used in processes as a carrier for loose abrasives.
Quartz
nuggets are a more economical alternative to the superior
aluminium oxide grade nuggets.
