Steel
media is used primarily for burnishing processes.
It has no peer in terms of imparting extremely high
polished surfaces to most metals in very short process
times. Often, mirror-like finishes on components
can be achieved.
Steel
media also finds wide application in the light deburring
of components and finds specialised use in the finishing
of sintered metal products and the cleaning of tapped
threads.
Other
popular uses include burnishing jewellery, cutlery,
and copper pipe fittings.
