Compound is essential
to the surface finishing process as it both enhances the finish
of the components and speeds up process times. Compound
is also formulated to perform the following functions:

and detergency
- keep media clean
and free cutting
- degrease parts
- suspend debris &
dirt particles preventing their redeposition on parts
- aid rinseability
- brighten surfaces
- prevent surface
corrosion and oxidization through the addition of inhibitors

and foam in polishing operations
