The quality of any surface finish not only comes from the individual machine but from the correct selection of finishing medias and compounds. BV Products holds an extensive variety of plastic and ceramic, as well as porcelain and other high density polishing medias. Chemical compounds and medias are all developed and made on site in our Melbourne plant and shipped around the world.

Not only do Massfinish offer high quality mass finishing products but also a fully documented process report sheet (when required) with each machine – established by our free trials work- saving our customers time, money and assuring them the best possible solution and results.

Because BV manufactures its own extensive range of finishing compounds, it has or can develop a compound to suit almost every application. Whether it’s polishing, etching, cleaning or corrosion inhibition you require, BV can provide the right compound. BV has an extensive process trials facility and can develop both materials and processes tailored to customers’ requirements.

CERAMIC & PORCELAIN MEDIA

Ceramic abrasive medias are recommended for general light and heavy deburring, fast and extra fast deburring and ultra-aggressive metal removal. Ceramic media is best for heavy cutting and hard metals.

Our ceramic porcelain medias (CPP grade) are able to produce mirror like finishes on materials such as stainless, aluminium, and brass.

Compounds are a basic requirement for modern, technologically based surface finishing processes and the application of these products is a vital step in obtaining the ultimate finish required for our customers.

They have the ability – if correctly applied – to remove contaminants such as oils, metal and media fines from the process. They also keep the components and media clean and ensure the various types perform to the highest levels without glazing or degrading unacceptably.

Ensure you choose the right product for your application with the help of the chart overleaf but this is only a guide and the only true test of compounds suitability for the purpose is to ask a BV Products technician or distributor to advise you. They may even request parts to conduct trials to ensure the very best product is selected for your application.
